Idle Calculator Privacy Policy

Idle Calculator collects no information about you at all. There is no account, no sign-in and no server: the game runs entirely on your device, and nothing about you or how you play leaves it.

That is the whole policy. The rest of this page is the detail, because a page that only says “we collect nothing” gives you no way to check it.

There is no server

This version of Idle Calculator is built with no server address in it. The consequences are worth spelling out, because they are the reason every other section is short:

  • there is no account, no sign-up and no sign-in, and no screen anywhere in the app asks for an email address
  • there is nothing to upload, so nothing is uploaded
  • there is no cloud save, no backup held by us and nothing of yours on any machine we own
  • we cannot see your progress, because it never reaches us

The trade is real and you should know about it: your game lives on one device only. Nothing moves it to a second device, and nothing brings it back if you delete the app.

Your save

Your progress and your in-game settings are written to your own device: a file in the app’s private storage on iPhone and iPad, and the browser’s local storage in the web version. Where neither is available, which usually means private browsing, the save is held in memory for that session only and is never written down.

Gameplay statistics

While you play, the game counts what happens: a problem solved or skipped, a calculator bought or upgraded, a research project finished, a new grade reached. It exists so the difficulty curve and the pacing can be tuned.

In this version those counts are held in the app’s memory for the session you are in. They are not written to your device, they are not sent anywhere, and closing the app discards them. Nothing you type is recorded in any case, beyond whether an answer was right.

The reward animation

The game offers you a bonus now and then in exchange for watching something: doubling what you earned while away, or doubling production for fifteen minutes. You ask for it, and it is never required to keep playing.

It is built on the same machinery a real advertisement would use, so it is worth being exact about what it is. The animation and its countdown are generated by the app itself. No advertising network is contacted, no advertising software is included in the app, no advertising identifier is read, nothing is sold, and no information about you is collected or shared by it.

Before the first one, the app asks whether you would allow personalised advertising. That question is there because the reward machinery was built to take a real advertising network later, and this version has none for it to apply to. Your answer is saved on your device as a setting, and it is not sent anywhere.

There is also nothing to buy. No in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no payments and no payment processing of any kind. The game is free and complete.

What the game never asks for

Idle Calculator never asks you for access to anything: not your contacts, your location, your photos, your calendar, your microphone or your camera. It collects no advertising identifier and no device identifier, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. With no server to reach, it makes no network requests at all.

This website is a set of plain files. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts of any kind.

Deleting your data

There is nothing on our side to delete, because nothing of yours is ever sent to us. Removing what the game stored on your device is entirely yours to do:

  • on iPhone and iPad, delete the app. The save goes with it.
  • in a browser, clear this site’s storage.

Both are immediate, and neither can be undone by us or by you.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages. No personal information is collected from anyone, so none is collected from children either, and there is no account to create.

Changes and contact

If a later version of Idle Calculator adds an account, a cloud save, uploaded statistics or real advertising, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what that version does, and the date below will move, before that version ships. Questions can go through the support page.
